Home real estate investing in Québec?

Hi Tom & Nick,

Read your income for life book and found it very interesting.

What would be your advise for home real estate investing in Québec vs Ontario?

I am currently a Québec resident in the Gatineau area but originaly from a small town in Ontario (Alexandria).

Since Ottawa and surrounding area is close to were I live, would it be a better choice to consider investing there?

Are the real estate investing procedures and regulations very different between Québec and Ontario?

Thanks for your questions...

The only thing I know about Quebec is that they have the luckiest hockey team around :)

As a Leaf fan it really hurts me to watch the Habs always do so well.

On a more serious note...

There are differences between property ownership laws in these two provinces.

Personally, I would invest where you live. We tell people that if you can't make money in your own backyard you won't make money in someone elses either.
