Can You Use Your RRSP To Invest In Real Estate In Canada and the US?

by bernadette

I already have a home and a rental property and I have RRSP's that are not producing any return. Is there anyway I can use that as collateral or even better if I can invest in a condo in the US. while still holding it in my RRSP.

Secondly, if none of these are an option, what do you think of cashing in my RRSP? Sooner or later I have to pay the taxman.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

RE: Can You Use Your RRSP To Invest...

The best way we know of to do that is to use your RRSP money to invest in 2nd mortgages. You need a good mortgage broker who will protect your properly but we know of many people having great success and earning great returns with them. Not all banks allow it, TD Bank does, we know that for certain.
