Saturday August 23rd, 2008 In this Issue: - Renegade Commentary: "I Want A Guarantee!" - Featured Article: Video Q & A Income For Life Updates..."I want a guarantee!"We held an information class in our Burlington offices this past week and had a fantastic group of people join us. It's always fun to be in a room with a bunch of people looking to learn, grow and push themselves. After the class one gentleman approached me and wanted us to "100% guarantee" that if he bought a certain investment property that it would be rented out quickly and that he would earn positive cash flow. As he finished his question I had flash backs to all of my own friends who have asked the same from us. I couldn't guarantee it to them so we certainly couldn't guarantee it to this gentleman. It's real estate. And nothing about real estate can be guaranteed. BUT.... If you follow a proven system and surround yourself with a team of experienced individuals your odds for success sky rocket. Just as they do if you follow a system and use experts in any endeavor. It's a winning formula. There's something else that should be pointed out about this situation. Our own observations of many investors and "wannabe investors" over the last few years has revealed that anyone who must have all the answers, and all the guarantees, and know "for sure" that things will work according to plan never gets far. Actually from what we can tell, not only do these people not get very far, they don't get anywhere. They don't start anything. The most successfully investors that we've seen have been the people that soak up new information, get a good team of people around them, and then jump in. If you wait for all the answers before you proceed you'll never take that first step, ever. It's this little difference that separates you from the herd. Get some information, find a proven system and get some mentors. Then plow ahead! Not yet an Income for Life Member?
